About
Mecca Bingo Sunderland takes its home in an old theatre and is situated on the South side of the City Centre on Holmeside. The club may look small from the outside but this is deceptive which you will soon realise when you go in with a capacity of over 1,000 players!
Being centrally located means that is very easy to get to although and although parking in the city is plentiful it is not free. However, Mecca Sunderland players can park for free at The Bridges car park in the evenings – just ask at the club for details or call ahead.
There are plenty of public transport options with bus and train being the obvious ones as well as the Metro. Buses do run down Holmeside and will get you in closer whereas the more central stations will be around a 5-10 minute walk away.
The bingo hall has some excellent facilities and has been tastefully restored by Mecca to ensure that the venue retains some of its original glory but has a modern feel to it too. There is a bar and diner on site and you will find them serving drinks and food all day long with the breakfasts and coffees being particularly pleasing.
There is a cash point on site as well as disabled access and facilities. If you are in need of a hearing loop there is one here.

Mecca Sunderland is open from 10.45am during the week apart from Wednesday when they open at 10am. Saturday opening is also from 10am and on Sunday you can enter the venue from midday. The club closes at 10.15pm daily.
Sessions start at 10am on Wednesday and Saturday and 11am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. There are no morning games on Sunday.
The afternoon and evening games get underway at 12pm (1pm on Sunday) and 6pm respectively.
Prices
Morning games are £2.50-£5 each. Afternoon prices vary from £2 up to £10. Main evening sessions range from £10 (Monday to Thursday) to £15 on Friday and Sunday with other games like the 30 minute 3 game bingo session at 6 pm costing just £2.
