About

Located on Milburn Road in the Northumberland village of Ashington, Gala Bingo is just a stone’s throw from the centre of the village and a short walk to Hirst Park. Although the club does not look too impressive from the outside you will be pleasantly surprised when you enter as to the modern nature and vastness of the bingo hall.

Although parking is limited to just 10 cars there is ample street parking around the club and it rarely gets so busy that you struggle to park within walking distance of the club. Those seeking public transport can take bus numbers 1, 19, 52 or 434 to Bolsover Terrace which stops right outside the club.

There is not too much in the immediate vicinity of the club with the exception of the delightful Bakers Pantry on the corner of Milburn Road just a few doors down from Gala.

The club has some excellent facilities and includes food and drink courtesy of the bar and restaurant that serves all day and evening. There are plenty of arcade machines and slots to keep you entertained between bingo games and there are disabled facilities as well as a hearing loop for those in need.

Gala Ashington really is a little gem in this village.

Opening Times

Gala Bingo Ashington is open from 11am-10pm Monday to Saturday and 5.30pm-10pm on Sunday. Despite its early opening hours, the main bingo games don’t start until 1pm (which is later than most Gala Bingo clubs) as there is no first chance game.

It is also worth noting that on Wednesday afternoons the venue is only open for the arcades and no bingo takes place until the evening. Saturday afternoon bingo doesn’t start until the slightly later time of 1.30pm.

Prices

The price of most games varies between £5 and £7 with the exception of Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evening when the cost is £11. Thursday evening offers free bingo for all for the main session which gives you a 10 page paper book with the last chance game being just £1.
