About

One of two Gala Bingo halls in Wigan, this one is located in the town centre near to the main retail area and close to many other top attractions. Unlike many town centre bingo halls, Gala Wigan is a purpose-built venue with plenty of on-site parking thanks to the sizeable plot that it sits on. Accessed via Crompton Street and just across the river from Wigan Little Theatre, the venue is easy to find and easy to get to.

If you want to arrive at the venue via public transport then there are plenty of options in this regard with the bus being the easiest. Bus routes 320, 362, 575, 576, 613 and 715 all stop right outside the club at the River Way stop and if you prefer to catch the train then Wigan Wallgate and Wigan North Western are a 10-12 minute walk away.

The club itself is very popular and is a big player in the Wigan nightlife scene as well as having an active following during daytime hours. There is plenty of bingo action to enjoy here thanks to three sessions of bingo being played 6 times a week and 2 on a Sunday.

If you do tire of the bingo then there is an excellent arcade area within the club itself as well as a good bar and restaurant area. Should you wish to venture out of the club for a bite to eat then you will be spoilt for choice with plenty of options within a short walking distance. The nearby Chinese Buffet being a favourite.

If you do hit the jackpot then you might fancy a walk around the Grand Arcade which is right opposite Gala Wigan with over 15 shops to choose from.

Opening Hours

Gala Wigan has quite extended opening times and opens from 10am every day of the week except for Sunday when doors open at midday. Monday to Thursday the club is open until 11.30pm with closing time being midnight Friday to Sunday.

Prices

Compared to other Gala Bingo clubs in the area this is not the cheapest but it does offer some big prize money and an excellent atmosphere – it also still has some excellent value for money.

Monday to Friday you can expect to pay £5 or £6 for a full 11 pages of bingo. Saturday afternoon is priced at £10 with Saturday evening costing just £5. All games on a Sunday are £6.

The first chance games cost £2 and the last chance is just £1 to play.
