About

Situated right on the seafront of this popular UK seaside town, Gala Morecambe is located on a site that has seen many guises over its long history. From the pavilion tower to the cinema and finally to the bingo hall that it is today (plus many other things in between), the club is proud of its rich history and has managed to keep some of the old features to bring you a truly traditional seaside bingo feel.

Inside the club, you will still know you are in a Gala thanks to the bright neon lights and highly recognisable carpet and you will find all the usual amenities that you would expect to have including a bar, restaurant and arcade zone. There is no hearing loop installed (at the time of writing) which is somewhat unusual for a bingo hall these days so be sure to check beforehand if this is important to your visit.

Getting here is easy, simply head for the seafront and take the Marine Road East (A589) until you see the club. It is right next door to the City Council buildings and near to Morecambe Sailing Club. There is plenty of parking at the front of the building (around 150 spaces) and taking the bus to Lord Street will have you a minute’s walk from the front door – take routes 5, 6, 6A or 755 to get there. There are more buses running along Marine Road East and if you use this stop you can take numbers 3, 3A, 4 and 4A.

Opening Times

Gala Morecambe is open from 10.30am Monday to Saturday and opens at 12pm on Sunday. Closing time is 11pm Monday to Thursday and 12am the rest of the week means you can enjoy the facilities of the club (including the arcades) until midnight at weekends!

Prices

Bingo prices at Gala Morecambe are inexpensive, particularly during the week. Prices range from £4-£6 on weekdays whilst at weekends they range from £6-£8. These prices are still very cheap when compared to other national bingo halls and are one of the reasons why the hall is so popular with locals and tourists alike. First chance games cost £2 but last chance games are free so if you stay until the end of the session you are rewarded with a free game.
